I'm really not impressed with the algorithmic "discoverability" video hubs provide. On YouTube, for example, they're recommending alt-reich propaganda in videos from the Persona 2 OST. I don't know why, unless it's because Hitler is a villain you fight in that game.
I suspect we're never going to solve this problem except by word of mouth. A computer can't deduce my what videos I might want to watch based on the videos I've already watched, no matter how sophisticated the algorithms they use. A human being doesn't have to resort to algorithms. They can earn my trust by being a friend and then asking questions.
