Thinking about this, and while I am not looking for dates *here* I wouldn't be opposed to joining an instance which is essentially a federated dating app/website. If you know of any please let me know.
The more I think about it the more sense it makes, although I'm sure there are huge challenges in moderating/operating something like that.
Reminds me a lot of https://www.wired.com/2005/05/realestate/ in that putting yourself on the market (so to speak) involves a lot of research into coded language that I wasn't anticipating.

Just noticed that there's some play in the vertical travel, like there's a tiny space between contact and touch registration. I thought I was clicking but it was just making a noise when the pad touched the thing underneath it

I also see "loyal" used a lot in self descriptions, which stands out to me for some reason. Is that what people think I'm looking for? Is being disloyal a common undesirable thing? I mean I guess to me it's like putting "good person", or "fun to be around" in that I guess it's a desirable quality but maybe that should go without saying?
Should I be putting "not a dick" in my profile? Because it doesn't say that now, people probably think I'm a raging dick.
