i'm gonna say it AGAIN
if your game only allows for a male playable character, but ESPECIALLY a cis white male
it's bad. it's a bad game. you've made nothing original. it's boring. bad bad bad
@gingerrroot i mean, I'll begrudgingly accept a queer man of color, but any white dude is getting thrown in the trash
@gingerrroot I disagree. Some games offer an interactive story. I don't see why they wouldn't have the right to impose the main character. That's event more a contraint if the game aims at a realistic scenario.
@Phigger lmao designing meaningful characters that aren’t men for an interactive story is a constraint? sounds like they’re just not creative and shouldn’t be designing games 🙃
@Phigger @gingerrroot if you don't have the chops to write half a dozen slightly-different versions of your character in order to allow better representation then fine, stick to just one - but why must white male, mid-30s, physically fit, 6' with short dark hair and blue eyes be the one we're stuck with? if you want realism to be the excuse, pick more realistic people to be the player's avatar.
Social is the primary social media platform for the forth coming fourth version of Play Vicious, a new initiative built to bring attention to the plethora of creative acts that don't get the shine they deserve.
