I wish 19th century male authors knew the difference between describing a woman's appearance and describing a person. Or rather, I wish they knew how to create a woman character without resorting to creepy descriptions of her appearance. But then I wish 20th century and 21st century male authors could do the same.

@MoMartin there's a simple solution to this problem!

I stopped reading cis male authors

@MoMartin I recently read a book by a cis male (as far as I know) author from the 1990s with a woman perspective character.

In the first chapter, we learned her bra size (34C, of course).

I finished the book for some reason, but no more from him.

@MoMartin There was also a lot of retrospective fat-shaming about her high school days.
