The point of anti-fascism is not to make fascists afraid. Fascists are already afraid, that's why they're fascists. They have a fear based worldview. The point of anti-fascism is to make sure that fascists are isolated, unable to connect with, organize and mobilize other fascists. The point is to make fascists lonely.

I do not think I agree there.

Fascism is a worldview that tries to dispel fear through a myth of superiority. The 'best race', 'real men', the 'greatest nation'. It's an ideology of imagined strength, and its sense of community is based on that imagined strength.

That's why a fascist, once humiliated, is generally ditched and mocked by other fascists. A failure is a crack in the imagined superiority, so it must be rejected to uphold the imagined strength of the community.

@queeranarchism @MoMartin

Yeah, I want antifash a la mode here. Both layers are indispensable.

@MoMartin Corollary; keep the channels open because they're trying to do the same thing (because it's a good strategy) to us (by nastier means).

@MoMartin Bless this toot; may it reach more who need to hear it!!
