One of the things that always leaps out to me about bigots trying to find 'common ground' is how they try to convince you the issue of equality and oppression and targeted violence isn't that bad or even doesn't exist, so we should just let it go.

Even in their attempts to reach out or whatever they call it, there's always this thirst to discount the humanity and experiences of the person they want to parlay with.

That's why it doesn't matter what kind of flowery language they use.

@Are0h If they cant try to dupe you towards hating a 'common enemy' (that is more than likely a *symptom* of what's really the problem, rather than The Problem Itself™️), they'll just try to get you to pretend it doesnt exist.

@somarasu There's a definite desired outcome when they allegedly reach out and you're on the money.

It's not about addressing the issue that are clearly inflexible on and often delusional about.

It's just about inching themselves closer to comfortably about their own hate that they absolutely refuse to address.
