I'm just not a hateful person. I am an honest person. A direct person. A person that is amendable to fact and reason.
But hate? Nah. Hating does nothing to solve the problem.
If what I say about white Americans troubles you more than the centuries of violence they have visited upon millions of people, then just unfollow me.
Whining to me about how 'unfair' I am to white folks doesn't change what they have and are doing.
I know a lot of instances are bastions of monoculture where folks are enabled to separate themselves from what is happening socially around them for the sake of... whatever.
I'm not like that. My instance is not for that. Yeah, I love talking about tech because that's my thing, but I exist in the world too. I'm not going to ignore the hard things because it makes you feel better.
If you want an experience where you can tune out from the world, go elsewhere.
And yes, I know there is an effort to tokenize me because my combination of interests make me 'unique' to people that don't know many Black folks.
Ha, and that's not going to happen. I'm not going to limit my perspective to appeal to people who are too bigoted, afraid, etc to engage the _entirety_ of what I am.
I'm not your Black Friend™ that you can whip out whenever someone picks up on your bigotry and myopia.
Deal with it or don't. But stop crying to me about how you FEEL about reality.
@bugpaws It's cool. I generally don't mind, because in the grand scheme of things, dealing with some folks on here that just don't want to listen isn't that hard.
And it's just kind of amazing to me how much effort folks put into wanting me to dislike them even though I don't know them.
